Climate Change Crankie

The Pittsburgh Climate Change Crankie is a manually powered paper panoramic illustration that tells the story of Pittsburgh’s environmental evolution. The Crankie will help to start community conversations about Pittsburgh’s industrial history, its environmental legacy, and the community’s role in making improvements for the future through performances accompanied by hands-on art activities for all ages. The Crankie is illustrated by Katy DeMent and Laura Ramie.

Climate Change Crankie was performed at: AIR, Glitter Box, Universal Unitarian Church, Homestead Art Walk, and viewed at Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media- scrolled out in interactive panoramic format!

Curation

Recently I have delved into curating at Bantha Tea Bar, Swissvale Library, Biddle;s Escape, and Crafting Conversations at the T Station. I have also been featured in exhibitions at the Morgan Conservatory in Cleveland.

It is not just all fun in the studio! (Hula hooping) Curation is much harder than it looks.

The selected work was showcased at the Pittsburgh Steel Towers T station 2019 - 2020. I was proud to co-curate this exhibition with Ann Rosenthal. This timely exhibition was featured in IAMPA, American Craft Magazine, and City Paper.
